Born and raised in Taiwan, the trilingual actress Yuching Tsai moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 to pursue her acting career and enrolled in American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Since then, she was in a few film productions such as Smuggler And Shortround, a short film on sisters escaping North Korea, as well as Whisper, a short experimental horror.
Later on, Yuching moved to New York City to finish her bachelor degree at The New School while she continued her acting training at Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop. She has been in various theatre projects including Thalia Festival (a series of plays written and acted by women), A Sketch of New York (a satire lampooning New Yorkers' daily life), Foreign Voices Are Us (a series of theater projects that aim to give voices the often unheard stories); as well as film and TV productions such as En Passant (a short on a heartbroken woman attempting to heal through chess games), Cabaletta (a short about a girl suffers from paranoia), Hospo (TV show about NYC night life). She also recently finished her first film written, produced, and starring herself Winter Cabin, which is currently in the film festival circuit.
